Professor and Department Head of Physics at Kettering University, leading a thriving Physics program build based on an innovative experiential physics education model. His areas of research and expertise includes application of laser spectroscopy and electronic microscopy for characterization of electronics, optical, and advanced materials, and nano-structured materials. Bahram Roughani has worked closely with K-12 educators, collaborated with national labs, and interacted with industrial partners. He is Kern-Kettering Fellow for Physics entrepreneurship and innovation. He has the honor of being one of the selected national leaders participating in an invitation only 32 member of the Industrial Physics Leadership Summit, a national effort aiming at bridging Physics education and industry in the nation.
